Overview
Vario Privacy is a glass product that offers instant privacy at the flick of a switch. All Vario Privacy panels are custom made; they are manufactured by using a lamination process which encapsulates a film between 2 or more glass sheets. Users can switch the Vario Privacy smart glass from clear to private (opaque) and vice versa. Vario Privacy smart glass is easily installed, and can be used in many applications. Various configurations are available, such as color-tined, insulated units, curved glass, etc.

Principle
When the glass is not powered, liquid crystal molecules contained within the glass are randomly scattered. These crystal molecules refract incoming light in all directions, completely obscuring the view behind the glass.
When the glass is supplied with an electrical current, the liquid molecules align, and allow a high percentage of incident light to pass through unaffected , making the panel clear instantly.
